The press retains exclusive rights for the publication of the author’s work as part of the anthology, including all print and digital formats. These rights are held for the purpose of furthering the press’s mission of uplifting queer voices. The author retains the right to publish their work in other venues (e.g., as part of a personal collection or in a different publication) as long as the anthology’s initial publication has been completed and proper attribution is given to the original anthology.
No royalties will be paid directly to the author for their individual contribution to the anthology. All proceeds from the publication will be retained by the press and reinvested to support its mission of uplifting queer voices. This revenue will be used for future publications, operational costs, and community outreach.
The writer agrees to meet the publication deadlines for the anthology. Four Elements Press reserves the right to edit the submitted work for style, clarity, and length. The final version of the work, including all edits, will be at the sole discretion of the press. Final drafts received after the specified deadline will not be considered for publication.
*The writer understands the publication deadlines of the anthology and will produce a final copy to be published at the discretion of the press. Four Elements Press reserves final judgement and drafting of the published work. Work not submitted by deadline forfeits the opportunity of publication.

To keep workshop costs low, the press is not obligated to provide a complimentary copy of the finished anthology to the featured writers. Copies will be available for purchase from the press or its distributors at standard pricing after the publication date.
